Dr. David Avelar Rodriguez is a third-year pediatrics resident at the Hospital for Sick Children. He was born and raised in Guadalajara, Mexico, and completed his medical training at Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara and clinical research at Instituto Nacional de Pediatria in Mexico City. David will be starting his fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology at the Hospital for Sick Children in 2023. He is very excited to be part of the Hispanic Kids’ Health team, and one of his missions is to combat misinformation and provide reliable information to the his community.
